Research Highlight: Stem Cell Control

ENP leader Laure Bally-Cuif and her team have made a significant advance in stem cell research. They investigated how the activation of stem cells in zebrafish is controlled. These special cells are quiescent (like hibernating or sleeping), but can be reactivated when they need to replicate to produce neurons. They discovered that Notch 3 controls this reactivation!
