Registration at Paris universities:

All students need to register at a Paris university:

• Students who have a Bachelor’s degree need to enroll in a “Master’s program” in which they will attend courses during the first semester (October to December) and then do lab rotations during the following semester (January to July).
  
  - Master's programs offered:
  Master of Integrative Biology and Physiology (BIP) at the UPMC
  Research Master in Cognitive Science (Cogmaster) at the University Paris Descartes
  European Master of Genetics at the University Paris Diderot
  Master Health and Biology at the University Paris-Sud 11.
  

• Students who have a Master’s degree will register for a “Unité d'Enseignement isolée” (UEI) which includes 12 months (exceptional cases are evaluated by ENP scientists) of rotations in ENP laboratories before embarking the three-year PhD. They are expected to write short dissertations for the research projects that they have followed and to inform the ENP Staff of each rotation (download the Lab-rotations form).

All students enrolled in the ENP Graduate program are expected to attend ENP seminars and plenary lectures that are organized in the different laboratories affiliated with the ENP. They are also expected to give talks to the ENP panel once a year to present their research projects.

The ENP is liable to interrupt funding of students who do not comply with these requirements.

Attendance of courses or seminars outside Paris is generally taken in charge by the laboratory hosting the PhD student. In exceptional circumstances, the ENP can provide PhD students with a financial contribution to a specific training or exchange program abroad.
