ENP alumna Athena Ypsilanti investigated neuroblasts in the subventricular zone, where undifferentiated cells proliferate and eventually migrate to the olfactory bulb. She and her teammates found that Plexin-B2 lines the ventricles and rostral migratory stream. They conducted other tests that demonstrated other contributions of Plexin-B2 in the proliferation and migration of neuroblasts from this subventricular zone.
